Yangchun Cao, Associate Dean of the College of Animal Science and Technology, Northwest A&F University; Professor; Doctoral Supervisor; National-level Young Talent. Over the past five years, he has published over 30 SCI papers as first/corresponding author in leading international journals, including Gastroenterology, iMeta, and Gut Microbes, with the highest impact factor reaching 33.8. As the principal contributor, he has secured 12 national patents and released 4 Shanxi provincial standards and group standards. He has received the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in Shanxi Province and two Second Prizes for Scientific and Technological Progress in Gansu Province. He has been appointed as an expert panel member of the Harvard Medical School Nutrition Center, selected as a Jinggang New Talent in the 8th Session and a "Young Elite Talent” in the 3rd session by the Chinese Society of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, honored as a Zhongying Scholar, recognized as a Shaanxi Outstanding Young Talent, and named among Shaanxi’s first cohort of “Outstanding Young Talents in Higher Education Institutions”. He also received the Young Scholar Excellence Award from the Animal Nutrition Branch of the Chinses Society of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine in its second session. He concurrently served as a member of the Beef Cattle Nutrition Subcommittee of the National Animal Nutrition Guidance Committee, Deputy Secretary-General of the Animal Nutrition Branch of the 11th Chinese Society of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, and Deputy Director of the Ruminant Nutrition Specialized Committee. He also holds the positions of Deputy Director of the Shaanxi Provincial Branch of the Animal Microecology and Biofeed Specialized Committee, Director of the Shaanxi Provincial Technical Engineering Center for Additive Premixes (Four Entities and One Joint), Chief Scientist of the Shaanxi Qinchuan Original Livestock and Poultry Feed Additive R&D and Application Team, and Position Expert in the Shanxi Dairy Cattle Industry Technology System. He serves as Associate Editor for “iMetaomics” and “Chinese Journal of Dairy Science”, and Young Editorial Board Member for “iMeta” and “Microbiome Research Reports”. He has led over 30 projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China General Projects (NSFC).
